Effect of Direct Current Electric Field on the Microstructure of Al-Si Eutectic Alloy
The effect of direct current electric field on the solidified structure of Al-Si eutectic alloy is studied. The experiment results show that the growing shape of eutectic Si changes under the influence of electric field and with the increase of current density, the eutectic Si is fined. The mechanism of the mentioned phenomenon is also analyzed.
