Mechanical Properties and Microstructures of Fe-Al-Cu Alloy

  • Mechanical properties and microstructures of Fe-Al-Cu and Fe-Al-Cu alloyed with elements Ti,Mn and B were studied.The results of powder diffraction,strength test and microstructure analysis manifested that Fe-Al-Cu alloy consists of solid-solution α-Fe,solid-solution Cu and precipitated phase dispersed in solid-solution α-Fe.Elements Ti and B are beneficial to refine grains and meliorate the tensile strength of the alloy.With addition of proper amount of Ti,Mn and B,the mechanical properties of the alloy are improved.
