Abstract
The mechanical properties and impact energy of milled glass fiber (GF) reinforced rigid polyurethane foam was investigated in the present article,in which the general factors such as the concentration, particle size and surface-treatment of GF influencing the mechanical properties of RRPUF were discussed. It was indicated that compressive strength of RRPUF was increased with GF dimension decrease and the reinforced effect is best when the fiber -content is 20%.The reinforced effect of surface-treated GF was better than that of untreated GF and when the fiber-content is 15% the reinforced effect is best. The impact toughness of RRPUF was decreased with fiber-content increase.
