Effects of RE,Mg and Ti on the Corrosion Resistance of Zn-4.5%Al Alloy

  • Effects of RE,Mg and Ti on the micro-structure and corrosion resistance of Zn-4.5%Al alloy were investigated in this paper.The results of morphology and electrochemistry corrosion test with the single element addition alloy indicated that the effect was comparatively obvious when the single element content of RE,Mg and Ti was 0.10%、 0.10% and 0.03% respectively.Orthogonal experiments were carried out on the base of upper results.SEM obsevation,salt spray corrosion and electrochemistry test implied that excellent eutectic microstructure and corrosion resistance property were obtained in the Zn-4.5%Al-0.10%RE-0.05%Mg-0.05%Ti alloy.
