Formulation Design of Low Surface Energy Marine Antifouling Coatings

  • A series of environmental friendly marine antifouling coatings were prepared with low surface energy polymer as main film forming material through formulation design,and the characher of the coatings was investigated by using contact angle measurement instrument and scanning electron microscopy.The results indicate that the type of solvent and the volume concentration of pigment(PVC) have great influence on the properties of the coatings,and the PVC mainly affects the surface energy of the coatings.
