Control of the Crystal Phase of TiO2 Nanoparticles with PO43-

  • Series of PO43- doped nanosized TiO2 powers were prepared with TiCl4 as precursor by using hydrothermal method and characterized by means of XRD,TG,BET and SEM.By adjusting quantity of phosphate,the crystalline structure of TiO2 can be controlled from pure rutile to the mix-crystal(rutile and anatase) and to pure anatase.The photocatalytic activity of the PO43- doped TiO2 was characterized by photodegradation of rhodamine B and it is indicated that the photocatalytic activity of the mix-crystal is effectively improved with doped PO43-.
