Effect of Doped Ni²⁺ on Hydrophilicity of TiO₂ Thin Film

A series of Ni²⁺ doped TiO₂ thin films were prepared by sol-gel method.The effect of doped-Ni content on the hy-drophilic properties of the film was studied by means of XRD,AFM and surface contact angle method.The results show that with doped Ni²⁺,crystal growing of the TiO₂ was inhibited,the surface energy was increased and the photo-induced super-hy-drophilicity was improved.The 2.0% mol Ni-doped TiO₂ thin film retained super-hydrophilicity even after being placed in darkness for a week.
