Preparation and Properties of SnO₂-Based Ceramics

A series of SnO₂-based ceramics of ternary system SnO₂-Sb₂O₃-CuO have been prepared through sintering with nano-sized SnO₂ powders as raw material.The properties of the ceramics have been investigated by using optics microscope,SEM and X-ray EDAX.The relative content of CuO-Sb₂O₃ as a function of sintering property and electrical conductivity had been determined.The results show that SnO₂-based ceramics prepared from nano-sized SnO₂ powders definitely have lower sintering temperature and the relative content of CuO-Sb₂O₃ exsits aoptimal ratio.
