Preparation and Properties of SnO2-Based Ceramics

  • A series of SnO2-based ceramics of ternary system SnO2-Sb2O3-CuO have been prepared through sintering with nano-sized SnO2 powders as raw material.The properties of the ceramics have been investigated by using optics microscope,SEM and X-ray EDAX.The relative content of CuO-Sb2O3 as a function of sintering property and electrical conductivity had been determined.The results show that SnO2-based ceramics prepared from nano-sized SnO2 powders definitely have lower sintering temperature and the relative content of CuO-Sb2O3 exsits aoptimal ratio.
