Low Temperature Sintering of Alumina Ceramics with MnO₂-TiO₂-MgO Additives

Alumina ceramics sintered at relatively low temperatures with dense and fine grains sufficient mechanical property is obtained.The effect of MnO₂-TiO₂-MgO additives on mechanical property and microstructure of the alumina ceramics was investigated.The results show that with 3%MnO₂,3%TiO₂ and 0.5% MgO,the sintering of alumina ceramics at low temperatures is optimized and the dimension of grains distributes uniformly.
