Application of Numerical Simulation Calculation in Cathodic Protection System Design for Underground Pipeline and Storage Tank

  • This paper summarizes several numerical simulation calculation approaches that have been adopted in design of cathodic protection system‚, and present the application of numerical simulation calculation in design and optimization of cathodic protection system for underground pipeline and storage tank.Examples are given to show the calculation results of cathodic protection's potential and current density distribution and interference prediction for underground pipeline and storage tank by using BEASY software based on boundary element analysis.
