Applications of Lightweight of Car Body Material and New Technology

Lightweight car body plays an important role in the development of lightweight vehicles.The application of light materials is a main approach to lighten the weight of car in the future.The materials of lightweight vehicles are aluminum alloy and high performance materials such as high strength steel.The application of various new type materials is introduced and technology evolution on new technology are reviewed.The problems and development directions of these new materials in the application are summarized.
