Preparation and Property of TiO2 Electrode for Production of Titanium Sponge by FFC Process

  • The TiO2 electrode was prepared by using TiO2 powder, PVA and charcoal powder as raw materials.Porosity of TiO2 electrode was measured by using the method of water boiling and the phase of the electrode was analyzed.Then several connection modes were disigned for electrolytic experiment and the product of the experiment was analyzed by using XRD.The results show that the porosity of the TiO2 electrode is more than 50%, the composition of the prepared TiO2 is nearly rutile TiO2, the current is larger when a determined electrode connection is employed, and the product contains 98% titanium.
