  • The arc restriking of acid electrodes for carbon steel welding is such classified in this paper as instantaneous restriking,high temperature restriking and low temperature restriking.The phenomenon of are restriking is analyzed.The process of the restriking at low temperatare is considered as a typical curse of heat breakdown of slags in electrode coating muff and the electric conduction is attributed to the metastable intermediate presenting in the slags which could produce some free electrons.
