Technics Research of Double-gun Double-faced TIG Welding of Aluminum Alloy Medium Plate

  • TIG welding procedure of aluminum alloy medium plate used in manufacture of air-separation plant of petroleum and chemical industry is modified.A double-gun double-faced TIG welding procedure is exploited for butt welding of 10mm 5083 plate.The characteristics of this double-gun double-faced welding is analyzed and the relevant parameter is determined.Tests indicate that the quality and performance of the welds are satisfactory.
