Abstract
With Ti(OBu)4 and(CH2CH2OH)2NH,C2H5OH and Nd(NO3)3 as precursors, the Nd-doped Ti/TiO2 electrodes were prepared by sol-gel method.By analyzing COD degradation of oil-field wastewater, the preparation conditions of the electrodes are optimized. The micrograph of the electrode surface, the element composition of surface layers and the structure of the electrode surface were analyzed by SEM,EDX and XRD.The electrode surface became more smooth, more dense and almost no cracks after Nd doping. The uniform of the high-density structure of the small debris may have a larger surface area and surface roughness, which is in favor of catalytic reactions. The crystal structure of TiO2 electrode is anatase. It was found that doping of Nd at a proper proportion is in favor of grain refining and helped to enhance the electrical conductivity of the electrodes. The results showed that the Nd-doped is beneficial for going up electrode performance. The optimized conditions is as follows that heat treatment of the electrobes is at 540℃ for 1h and doping amout of Ti:Nd is 100:1.Besides,it is easier for the COD to be degraded on the Ti-based TiO2 electrode doped with Nd than on the electrode without Nd doping, and the COD reducing could be removed up to a rate of 81.6% after 60min treatment with the electrode doped with Nd,and only 67.7% with the electrode doped without Nd.
