Hardware and software of motion control system for planar arc welding robot are discussed.The system is composed of IPC, ADT850 motion control card.The operating system is Windows and the system for developing is VB.Experiments show that the system has many merits,such as multiple function,high control precision and ready operating,the operation of the welding robot is steady.It completely meets the technical needs of arc welding
