The Development of Surface Treatment on Titanium Alloy for Warship

Titanium and its alloys are widely used in warship building due to their low density,high specific strength,stable performance at moderate temperatures,and superior corrosion resistance etc,but the use of titanium alloys is limited for its low hardness,poor wear-resistance and poor oxidation-resistanceat at high temperature.So surface modification is necessary to improve the wear-resistantce and oxidation-resistantce of the alloys.The researches at home and abroad on warship titanium alloy surface treatment are introduced.
