Research Progress in Synthesis of Superhydrophobic Surfaces

  • Conventional methods to prepare superhydrophobic surfaces are reviewed in this paper with the emphasis on three techniques including phase separation,templating and sol-gel.Advantages and disadvantages of different kinds of techniques are discussed,of which the developing trends in superhydrophobicity are described.Furthermore,the potential applications and developments in this field are prospected and the problems in superhydrophobicity field are brought forward.
