Abstract
A series of degradable aliphatic polyurethane copolymer based on L-lactide,polybutadiene and hexamethylene diisocyanate(HDI) were designed and synthesized to meet the need of binder for antifouling paint for highly flexible degradable resin.The copolymers were characterized by using 1H-NMR,FT-IR,gel permeation chromatography(GPC) and DSC,and the hydrolytic degradation behavior in sea water and mechanical properties of the copolymers were investigated.The potential use of the polyurethanes in antifouling coatings was examined.The resins synthesized exhibited high elasticity,the degradation rate were distinctly different and tunable.By controlling the composition of the resins,and the paints based on PBEU1 binder had antifouling activity in Xiamen sea area.
