  • According to rigid viscoplastic finite element theory, continuous extrusion forming process for Cu-Ag alloy at different chamber parameters was simulated by DEFORM3D software, and the effects of them on initial stage were studied in detail.Simulation results show that smaller die orifice width and bigger abutment height are conducive to extrusion deform and to improve product quality, and proper section shape can significantly improve the metal flow. The simulation results are useful for optimization designing the chamber.
