Development of High Toughness Low-temperature Steel Electrode HH-W707

  • 06MnVAl is a widely used low-temperature steel and its suitable working temperature may reach as low as-70℃.This paper aims to design a low-temperature steel electrode which matches 06MnVAl low temperature steel working at a low temperature of -70℃.With reference to the situation of domestic and abroad in the low-temperature steel welding material research, and the intensity, toughness, plasticity and weld ability of weld metal, the Mn-Ni alloy system was adopted, and the HH-W707 low temperature steel electrode was develeped.This electrode was proved to have good shop characteristics, can meet the toughness requirements of 06MnVAl steel working at low temperature.
