Research Progress on Cellulose-based Metal-ion Adsorption Materials

  • There are large amount of relatively easy accessible hydroxyl groups in cellulose.High capacity metal ions adsorbents can be obtained through derivatization of the hydroxyl groups.In view of the structure and characteristics of cellulose,the research progress of cellulose-based adsorbents for the removal of heavy metal ions in wastewater is reviewed in this paper.
