Characteristics of Titanium-stainless Steel Clad Bar with Equal Strength

  • Titanium-stainless steel clad bar is one of the pivotal metal material in the aviation and spaceflight areas,the credible properties is very important guarantee for the safe work of the spacecrafts.Based on the experience of material research,the titanium-stainless steel clad bars were produced in the optimized process with strength equal to the base material of Ti,which approved that the limit strength of the explosive welding metal is equal to or exceeds the strength of the weak base materials.In the article,in order to account for certain properties of the equal strength bonding,the significant character of the clad bar were analysed in view of the metallographs,tensile-shear strength and the properties change of Ti.
