Influence of Ce3+ on Codoped Y2O3: Eu,Ce Phosphor in Luminescence Property and Particle Morphology

  • Y2O3 : Eu and Ce phosphor was synthesized by chemistry and high temperature solid-phase method.XRD analysis and SEM observation manifest that codoped CeCe3+ has obvious influence on particle morphology of Y2O3 : EuCe3+ phosphor.The morphology changed from ball to tube as the concentration of CeCe3+ changes.The fluorescence spectra shows that the synthesized phosphor has two main emission bands,which are 614nm of red peak and 587nm.Intensity of 614nm and 587nm emission peak of EuCe3+ was enhanced significantly.The physics mechanism in which CeCe3+ enhance lighting of EuCe3+ is discussed.
