  • The fracture analysis of fire hose coupling was conducted by macro and micro appearance observation,chemical composition analysis and metallurgical structure inspection.Resultsshow that the main cause of fire hose coupling cracking is that micro cracks formed in the iron phase during the process of pressure experiment.In addition,the oxide destroys the continuity of substrate,which results in a high stress concentration.
