The Influence of Damping Materials Pasting Area on Damping Factor

The influence of damping materials pasting area on damping factor of modal structure is investigated with tests.Meanwhile finite element software is used in numerical simulation calculation of the test model.The results show that both the finite element model improved by experiment and the test data have the same results and the 80 percent of pasting area is reasonable as a criterion of installation process.
