The Effect of Heat Treatment on Structure and Properties of Titanium Alloy Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al

  • The influence of solution heat treatment temperature and aging treatment temperature on the structures and properties of Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al is investigated in this paper.The result revealed that as the solution heat treatment temperature rising from 700 to 820℃,the content of α-phase in the structure decreases,but β-phase increases.Aging treatment can improve the strength of β-matrix.The strength of the material is improved with the temperature rising,but the plasticity decreases.As the aging treatment temperature rising from 420 to 620℃,the structure uniformity of the alloy is better,and the pasticity is improved markedly,but the strength decreases.Solution heat treated at 760℃ fot 2h and aged at 520℃ for 8h,the alloy reaches the best compromise of performence.
