Abstract
The corrosion resistance in sea water of 10MnNiCr and new type 440MPa ship steels was detected via measurement of corrosion potential, accelerated corrosion rate test indoor and one year seaport corrosion test in North sea for naked steels. The results show that 10MnNiCr presents the better corrosion resistance in sea water due to its reasonable alloyed composition.
