Application of Nitric Acid in Zinc-cerium Flow Battery as Electrolyte of Anode

  • For zinc-cerium flow battery as a new system,the low solubility of anode limits the application of the battery. With nitric acid as electrolyte of anode, solubility of cerium ions and energy storage of zinc-cerium flow battery were improved. The performance of charge and discharge of zinc-cerium flow battery become more stable with nitric acid as the anode electrolyte than with methanesulfonic acid.
