An Analysis on Uniformity of 10CrNi3MoV Steel for Hull Structure

  • In this paper,the uniformity of thick 10CrNi3MoV hull structural steel plate is analysed through tensile and impact tests of multiple position.The results show that strength is obviously different between the edges the center across the width and toughness is fluctuant.The strength and toughness are quite uniform along the length.Segregation and long strip Al2O3 were found on the position of 1 /4 width and the center which may affect the uniformity of the steel.
