Optimization of Process Parameters of Low-Pressure Cold-Sprayed Aluminum Coating

  • With the mixture of aluminum and alumina powder as raw material and compressed air as the working gas, aluminum coating was prepared on Q235 steel substrate by low-pressure cold spray equipment at ambient temperature. The effect of temperature, feed rate and spray distance on deposition efficiency of aluminum coating was discussed, and the influence of technology parameter on aluminium coating's hardness and bonding strength was studied.Resultsshow that the optimized process parameter are as follows: temperature 400 ~ 500 ℃, powder feeding rate 24 ~ 35 g/min, spraying distance 20 ~ 30 mm.
