Research of Ultrasonic Inspection Technology for Adhesion Defects of Damping Materials

  • For ultrasonic inspection of adhesion defects of damping materials, ultrasonic transmission method and echo method are used to inspect five samples of a damping material.Experimental results show that simulated defects such as bubble, disband and foreign substance inclusion can be detected with both of the transmission and echo ultrasonic methods and for damping plate with cavity structure, both internal cavity and adhesion defects can be detected.
