Effect of laser power on the weld formation of laser-arc hybrid horizontal welding

  • This paper evaluated the appearance characteristics of the laser-arc hybrid horizontal welding on 10CrNiMoV steel by the welding appearance parameters. The influence of laser power on welding formation of laser-arc hybrid horizontal welding was studied. The results show that the stability of the arc was enhanced obviously by the influence of laser. With the increment of laser power, the dripping tendency of molten metal was decreased in earlier stage and then increased significantly.
