Introduction of Test Methods for Asbestos in Ship Materials
The paper introduces the kinds, applications, hazards and test methods for asbestos in accordance with Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships, 2009. A variety of technologies used to analyse the content of asbestos such as XRD, PLM, SEM and IR spectra were reviewed, and a good asbestos testing method was proposed.
