Molding Techniques of a Composite Metal-rubber Capsule

  • One molding technique has been presented to combine metal rings and rubber capsule as one whole part, which can be mainly divided by three parts:a sealed flange, a support rings and a columniform rubber layer. In the firs step of molding process, hot vulcanization technique has been accepted to shape cylindrical and seamless rubber layer. Then a special tool has been designed for enforcing pressure on contact area between metal rings and rubber layer, which can fasten its relative position.Finally, the composite structure can be boned together by secondary hot vulcanization in a vulcanization tank. Compared with general cold molding technique, this molding process is more simple, stable and reliable.
