Abstract
Effects of welding parameters on process stability of 10 CrNiMoV steel during hybrid laser-MAG (pulsed) welding were studied by analysis of the droplet transfer model and electric data. The results showed that laser promote the stability of electrical arc and the weld spreading. It was found that laser power and separate distance are the main factors, while the influence of defocused distance is neglectable. With the increase of the laser power, a lot of spatter generated at the keyhole. The separate distance exceed 2 mm, the arc process stability is stronger.
