  • The present status of research and development activities of binderless cemented carbide was summarized. The manufacturing methods of binderless cemented carbide such as vacuum sintering-hot isostatic pressing,hot pressing,gas sintering,spark plasma sintering,plasma pressure compaction are introduced in detail. The superior properties of this alloy are compared with cemented carbide. Several problems in developing this hard material are pointed out.
