Analysis on Delamination Defects of Cold Rolled Titanium Strip

Delamination defects of cold rolled titanium strip are analyzed by means of macroscope observation and metallographic examination and micro-hardness measurements. The analysis results show that the delamination defects of cold rolled titanium strip are caused by center shrinkage cavity and porosity, gas cavity and forming of hard α phase during vacuum consumable arc melting (VAR) of the ingot.
