The Design Optimization of Titanium Alloy Electrode Block Forming Mold

  • The density uniformity of titanium electrode blocks is a very important character for the homogeneity of titanium ingot, thus affects the mechanical properties of titanium products such as bars, tubes and plates. A new structure of protrude mould was designed and fabricated to solve this problem through changing the hammer edge, which is the key work section of the protrude mould. The result shows that the blocks manufactured by this new structure have a good uniformity of dense, and the edge of the blocks is very tight and compact.
