Analysis of Harmful Substances in Marine Coatings

  • This paper mainly introduced the types of harmful substances,the hazards and the domestic and international regulations on harmful substances in Marine coatings. Through the comparison of domestic and foreign commercial ship paints,it was found that antifouling paints,with the organic tin less than 2500 mg / kg and containging no DDT,asbestos or other harmful substances,meet the requirements of AFS convention. Contents of VOC and heavy metals such as Cu,Sn,Pband Hg in foreign ship paint products are less than those in domestic products.
