Corrosion Evaluation of Metal Bellows Used in Shipboard

  • The corrosion resistence of 316 L and 254 SMo bellows is tested by OCP,polarization test and CV,and the applicability of the two metal bellows exposed in marine corrosion environment is further tested by accelerated pitting corrosion test and ocean corrosion test. It indicates that the anti-corrosion property of 254 SMo bellow is better than that of 316 L bellow and 254 SMo is an excellent candidate material for bellows used in sea water environment.
