The Statistical Natures of Relativity between Fracture Toughness K_C and Impact Toughness for Q500 Steel

Deep notch wide plate tensile tests were conducted on four kinds of Q500 steel of different thickness(20 mm,32 mm,40 mm and 60 mm) to get the values of fracture toughness K_C at different temperatures.The relativity of 32 groups of K_C values and their KV₂ at the corresponding test temperatures was analyzed.The results indicate that there is almost linear relationship between fracture toughness K^Cand K V_2/\sqrtt.The fitting equation is K_\mathrmC=80.6+7.23 \cdot K V_2/\sqrtt.
