The Statistical Natures of Relativity between Fracture Toughness KC and Impact Toughness for Q500 Steel

  • Deep notch wide plate tensile tests were conducted on four kinds of Q500 steel of different thickness(20 mm,32 mm,40 mm and 60 mm) to get the values of fracture toughness KC at different temperatures.The relativity of 32 groups of KC values and their KV2 at the corresponding test temperatures was analyzed.The results indicate that there is almost linear relationship between fracture toughness KCand KV2/t.The fitting equation is KC=80.6+7.23KV2/t.
