Effect of Roughness of Substrate on Electrochemical Properties of Metal Oxide Anodes

Abstract
Ti/RuO2-IrO2-SnO2 oxide anodes were prepared by coating oxide on titanium substrates.The relations between roughness of the substrate surface and that of the surface of the oxide anodes were studied,and chlorine evolution potential,electrolysis efficiency,cyclic voltammetry and the working life of the oxide anodes were investigated.The results showed that with the increase of the roughness of the substrates,the roughness of oxide anodes increased,electric catalytic activity of oxide anodes was improved slightly and the working life was obviously extended.
