Research on Bauschinger Effect of 10CrNi5MoV Steel

  • The Bauschinger effect of 10 Cr Ni5Mo V high-strength steel was investigated via a uniaxial tensile test.The results show that the Bauschinger effect increases with the increase of pre-tensile strain and when the pre-tensile strain is about 0.9%,the Bauschinger effect factor(BEF) is 0.72.The origination of Bauschinger effect is mainly related to dislocation movement and back stress.Heat treatment can significantly reduce the Bauschinger effect of 10 Cr Ni5Mo V high-strength steel.
