Welding Test of the Super Austenitic Stainless Steel 904L-14Cr1MoR Clad Metal Plate

  • Anticorrosion overlaying welding on the non-clad zone is necessary for 904L-14Cr1 MoR clad metal plate in manufacturing process with explosive weld method.In this paper,according to welding characteristics of 904L-14Cr1 MoR clad metal plate,ENiCrMo-3 was used as the transition layer filled between 904 L and 14Cr1 MoR,E385 was used as the cover welding material,and specific welding measures were taken to carry out anticorrosion overlaying welding.Metallurgical structures were observed and tests on mechanical properties were carried out.Test results indicate that performance of the welding beam and the heat-affected zone of welded joint can meet the requirements of relative standards and the technology agreement reached.
