Effect of Different Welding Process on Weld Microstructure and Intergranular Corrosion Resistance for Hastelloy C-276

  • In this paper,ASTM-G28 B intergranular corrosion test method was used to study the effects of manual GTAW welding and manual GMAW welding on weld microstructure and intergranular corrosion resistance of Hastelloy C-276.Resultsshow that the weld zone of Hastelloy C-276 alloy after GMAW are more vulnerable to intergranular corrosion due to more precipitation of carbide.
