Microscopic Analysis on Crack of Marine Aluminium-steel Composite Transition Joint Interface

  • Samples were taken from the interface crack position of the steel aluminum composite welded transition joints after sampling, and metallographic analysis and scanning electron microscopy analysis were adopted to investingate the crack position and non-crack position. Resutts showed that a consecutive iron-aluminum film on the interface was main reason for the crack of the interface of transition joint.
