Development of Self-shielded Flux Cored Wire Applied to Pipeline Steel

Self-shielded flux cored wire doesn't need shielding gas and has fast welding speed. It has been widely used in the field of oil and gas pipelines. In this paper, research progress at home and abroad, metallurgical characteristics of self-shielded flux cored wire for pipeline steel and typical welding materials used in pipeline steel and the urgent problem esisting in the wire are introduced.
