Research on Adapability of Line Heating for E36 Steel Plate for Ship

  • Hot bending was conducted on the E36 plate by flame-treating at different temperatures.The results indicated that the line heating was suitable for E36 steel, the properties of the plate line heated could meet the reguirements.The strength of the steel line heated improved while the plasticity declined slightly.The toughness of the steel heated at 800 ℃ dropped much more significantly than that at 750 ℃ and the main reason might be in coarsened grains in the flame-treated region.
