Review on Development of Weather-resistant Anti-corrosion Coatings

  • Research development of weather-resistant coating was reviewed and here were summarized several methods to improve weatherability of room temperature curing anti-corrosion coatings, mainly including the preparation and modification of such weather-resistant film formers as fluoropolymer, silicone and acrylic resin, and the addition of weather-resistant fillers, such as rutile TiO2 nanoparticles, conducting polymers nanoparticles (CPNs) and light stabilizers.Furthermore, the potential methods to improve weatherability of room temperature curing anti-corrosion coatings were forecasted.
